The Lead Cloud Architect leads the planning, design, and engineering of enterprise-level infrastructure and platforms related to cloud computing. The Lead Cloud Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This particular position will involve the implementation of an enterprise Salesforce Sales Cloud and Vlocity implementation for the Group Segment line of business. The position will be responsible for the design and implementation of the cloud platform, integration with other cloud solutions, and integration with legacy systems.Ideally staffed in Chicago, Green Bay or Louisville locations, remote/virtual is an option.
The Lead Cloud Architect will implement a digital transformation for the Group Segment Line of Business. This solution will provide tools and technologies to enable seamless interoperability between our product creation, sales, enrollment, on-boarding and service. The Lead Cloud Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Lead Cloud Architect is responsible for:
-- Creating and maintaining architectural design documentation in line with product vision and objectives
-- Ensuring that defined architecture roadmap aligns with enterprise standards
-- Ensuring the development of application follows the defined architecture
-- Providing architectural guidance, story maturation, and code review for development teams (typically following scrum cycle)
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical experience, or equivalent and 2+ years of project leadership experience
